Our location on the gulf of Thailand enables X2 resorts to offer guests a combination of both in-house and outsourced water focused activities. Not just for boat lovers, this range of activities caters for everyone.

Rod and Reel

Being on the coast and surrounded by local fishing villages provides a truly local experience for guests. Trips are arranged with local boats and fisherman for either day time fishing or night time squiding. All catches are brought back to the resort and prepared by chef for your seafood feast.

Paddle your Boat

The resort offers two-man kayaks and small resort catamarans for your pleasure. The waters off the resort are very safe, while steady sea breezes during the afternoons provide great sailing conditions. Options to charter larger boats from coastal mariners is available on request.

Tours and Travel

Operated by our partners, the resort offers guests opportunities to undertake outside trips to neighboring regions and nearby islands.

Let face it…sometimes we need some good old fashion fun and laughter in our life. Sanook (which means “fun” in Thai) provides that fun element essential to all good vacation memories. Remember …just say “Yes”.

Photo Competitions

Being a design hotel, X2 Resorts offers amazing and unique photo opportunities for guests. Often the site location for fashion shoots, TV drama series and pre-wedding photo’s the resort has a huge amount to offer any photography enthusiastic.
One highlight of X2 is our “you at X2” album. Guests are invited to participate in photo shooting, and then print and display their favorite shots in the resorts album.
Regular competitions with cool prizes are offered weekly, often based around a range of photographic themes. What could be more Sanook!

Thai Cards

Thai people have for centuries played cards. Some of their games are un-known to foreigners; some are variations on more popular known games.
True Thai cards is a combination of the game itself, Thai whisky, Soda water, Thai snacks and laughter until the early hours of the morning.Join our team in learning the games and experience Thai pastimes in a traditional way. No bow tie or tuxedo required at this card table.

Petanque

Luckily it is easier to play than to say. Pronounced ‘Pet-tong-k’, it is a centuries old French game. As addictive as it is fun, guests join together to learn how to play and then play against each other. A great social sport and plain good old fashioned fun

Thai Whisky Tasting

For those that enjoy whisky and tastings, this is an enjoyable and informative event. Paired with traditional Thai “drinking snacks”, it provides a unique insight into the local flavors and traditions of rural Thai life.

On your Bike my Friend

Nothing better after a big breakfast than to go for a bicycle ride. The resort provides bikes and a simple route map through nearby local villages, coastal roads, temples and fishing villages. An activity that offers both an enjoyable and interesting experience for guests to get out and see Kui Buri.

Four

For those golf lovers, there are several international standard competition courses within a short drive of X2 Kui Buri. An early start to beat the tropical heat makes an ideal day out. Equipment, golf cart & caddies are all available from the courses.

Lantern Making & Release

Typically a Thai New-Year experience but sometimes practiced on special occasions, is the releasing of lanterns into the night sky. Enjoy learning about the tradition and make your own lanterns. Then release them off the beach in the evening; a most memorable and nostalgic experience.

Monks and Merit

Practiced by millions of Thai’s every morning is the tradition of offering food to local monks. Referred to as “Tak Bart” the act of making merit brings karma to those participating and provides an interesting insight into the local village and temple life in the early morning hours. A simple but rewarding gesture can be openly practiced by religion.

Foodies Heaven

The executive chefs at X2 Resorts offer guests an opportunity to learn a bit more about wonderful Thai food and herbs. Arranged either on request, as a private event, or simply attend a regular weekly class and learn how to make your favorite dishes, those secrets in Thai sauces and all about the balancing of herbs and spices.

Parks and Mountain Ranges

Located within the province and nearby the resort are several national parks. See elephants and other wild animals roaming free through the forest in their natural habitats. Visit floral swamplands, monkey inhabited hills, waterfalls and many more natural treasures, all within an short drive of the resort.

Temples and Treasures

Throughout Thailand is a vast number of temples, ranging from the most elaborate & grandiose to the basic village makeshift. Close to the resort are several temples of a very unique nature. The Khan Kradi Cave houses a large reclining Buddha, seen by few tourists. Other local temples each have their unique place in the religion & history of the province.

A Day in the Big City

The largest and most well-known city in the province is Hua Hin, the seaside home of the Thai Royal Family. Now a bustling full size resort town, it makes a great days outing for those that enjoy visiting the local shops and markets, larger modern malls, restaurants and general resort town life.

Fun activities are arranged throughout the week to cater to our junior guests at X2. Children of all ages have the chance to socialise with new friends at the resort while taking part in some really down to earth fun activities. During the school holidays additional activities, arts and crafts based are organised to satisfy those eager young minds. It all looks like too much fun, so much so that parents are also made welcome!
