X2 River Kwai TAT FAM Trip

The newly open design resort opens its door for the group of journalists, bloggers and travel agents from the UK & South African during TAT’s Thailand’s Best Friend Forever Mega FAM trip

A group of over 30 journalists, bloggers and travel agents from the UK and South Africa led by TAT UK & Ireland office visited the newly open design resort X2 River Kwai on 28 July 2014. The group was welcomed and hosted dinner by Supakit Uasamphanchai, Resort’s General Manager; Mandy Itthikaiwan, Public Relations Manager and Pornrawin Runkerd, Sales Manager. The group inspected the resort and joined the cocktail reception on the riverfront terrace before dinner at the resort’s restaurant The Bridge Bar & Bistro.

More than 900 travel media, bloggers, celebrities and travel industry executives from 47 countries and territories around the world were in Thailand in late July for one of the largest fam trips ever hosted by the Thai tourism industry as part of its post-crisis recovery campaign. Called “Thailand’s Best Friends Forever Mega Fam Trip” (Thailand’s BFF), the event is designed to convey a powerful message that the Thai tourism industry is back to normal. The event has an equally potent purpose to help bring the smiles back to the faces of the Thai people after several months of uncertainty. It will also help dispel any lingering doubts about the return to normalcy, and restore visitors’ confidence in returning to Thailand for leisure, business and MICE events. (Source by TATnews.org)

X2 River kwai is located on the most beautiful stretch of the Kwai Noi River in Kanchanaburi province, which is about two hours west of Bangkok. The resort was recently opened in July 2014 with 8 luxurious cabins, with plans to add 18 more cabins to the project in 2015. It is the latest property of X2 Design Hotel Group, managed by Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia (BHMAsia).
